Der Weltraum. Unendliche Weiten. Unendlich viele Möglichkeiten für geile Musik. Wir spielen einen Abend lang Metal Bands rund um Themen wie der Weltraum, andere Planeten, Außerirdische und Co.
Musikalisch wird’s bunt gemischt, Hauptsache die Bands oder einzelnen Songs passen thematisch zum Abend. Euch erwarten Hypocrisy, Hawkwind, Gamma Ray, Obscura, Star One, Voivod und viele mehr!
Was an einem Wochenende als Black to the Roots funktioniert, kann an einem Donnerstag nicht so verkehrt sein. Tanzt euch nach Feierabend zu einer ausgewogenen Mischung aus Dark- & Coldwave, Post- & Horrorpunk & 80’s Goth den Weltschmerz von der Seele!
Wir kredenzen euch allerhand Bands wie Siouxsie and the Banshees, Murderdolls, Joy Division, Bauhaus und viele mehr!
Wir beschränken uns auch nicht ausschließlich auf die 80’s, wer also eher Fan der modernen Vertreter dieser Genres ist wird auch seinen Spaß haben, z.B. mit She Past Away, Linea Aspera, Yakima Jera und mehr.

Am Freitag 20-02 Uhr heißt es Masters of Metal – wir gönnen euch die volle Portion klassischen Heavy, Power, Thrash Metal, aber auch modernen Folk, Modern, Nu Metal & Metalcore – da ist für jeden was dabei!
Am Samstag 20-02 Uhr steht unsere No Budget Faschingsparty an – Schmeißt euch in eure gammelige Jogginghose, schnallt euch euer Pfand um, werdet kreativ mit den Inhalten eures Kleiderschranks, Hauptsache ihr gebt kein Geld dafür aus – und feiert eine ordentliche, ausgelassene Faschingsparty mit uns! Musikalisch gibt’s wie immer das Beste was der Metal zu bieten hat aus allen Subgenres.
Disclaimer: Da die Faschingsgesellschaft Brucker Gaßhenker unsere direkten Nachbarn sind, ist es sehr wahrscheinlich, dass zur Faschingshochphase unser Parkplatz komplett belegt ist.

Als Geschichtslehrer, Historiker & Metalfan verbindet er Hobby mit Beruf und geht der Geschichte des Heavy Metal in seiner Heimat nach – eine spannende Lesung egal, ob man seit Anfang Fan der Trilogie ist, zu diesem Teil neu dazugestoßen ist oder bisher noch gar nichts daraus gelesen hat.
Mit dabei ist unser Special Guest: Hannes „G.Laber“ Holzmann von JBO um euch aus 1. Hand ein paar Einblicke in die hiesige Metalszene zu bieten.
Autor Holger Schmenk liest aus seinem Buch „Kumpels in Kutten 3: Heavy Metal im Ruhrgebiet“ und führt euch mit Anekdoten und Musikstücken durch den Abend. Dabei soll es immer auch um gemeinsamen Austausch über die lokale Szene gehen.
Anschließend gehen wir in eine Afterparty über, wir kredenzen euch das Beste was der Metal zu bieten hat, aus allen Subgenres, und quatschen gemeinsam über unsere gemeinsame Leidenschaft: Metal. Ihr könnt also gerne noch auf 2/3 Bierchen bleiben und euch aktiv Musik wünschen. Für alle, die kein Ticket zur Lesung haben, können natürlich zur Afterparty mit vorbeikommen.

Er beschäftigt sich mit bekannten Bands der Ruhrpott-Szene wie Kreator, Sodom, Axel Rudi Pell & Co und deren internationalen Einfluss und wie sehr Bands, Labels & Veranstalter seit den 80ern miteinander vernetzt waren & sind.
